近年のニューウェイヴ再構築ムーヴメントにおいて、エレクトロクラッシュが「陽」とすれば、ディスコパンクは「陰」。それはエレポップとポストパンクとの対称とも相似するニューウェイヴ陰陽説。相反するようで、表裏一体とも言える。NYCがポストパンク・シーンの中でノーウェイヴと呼ばれ渋く輝いていたように、ディスコパンクはNYCが発信地。まだ不完全ですが、これから拡充したいと思っています。

In New Wave Reconstruction movement in recent years, Electroclash for "sunny side", then Disco Punk is "shadow side" It is the New Wave male-and-female-principles theory that the symmetry of Electro Pop and Post Punk is similar. It can also be two sides of the same coin while it may conflict. As NYC was called No Wave and was shining astringent in the Post Punk scene, for Disco Punk, NYC is the place of dispatch. 「Muzik」誌4月号はDFAのディスコ・パンクMIX！NO WAVEやポスト・パンクの系譜上にある、ちょっと変態気味のぶっといファンク・ディスコ。エレクトロクラッシュともオーヴァーラップしていて、FischerspoonerやLe TigreのDFA MIXも収録されています。ボアダムスの山塚EYEがリミックスしたBlack Diceなんかも。

The "Muzik" April issue is Disco Punk MIX by DFA! Weird buzzy Funk Disco on the line of No Wave and Post Punk. Electroclash is overlapped including DFA mixes of Fischerspooner and Le Tigre. It also includes Black Dice remixed by EYE Yamatsuka of Boredoms.
