ドイツの造形美術運動をそのバンド名の由来とするバウハウスはグラム・ロックの継承者又ゴシック・ロックの元祖的存在です。４ＡＤ（正確にはAxis）からデビューし、ベガーズ・バンケットに移籍しました。ヴォーカルのピーター・マーフィーはミック・カーンとのユニット、ダリス・カーをへてソロ活動。ダニエル・アッシュ（又ソロ活動）とケヴィン・ハスキンスはトーンズ・オン・テイルを結成。デヴィッド・ＪはソロからJazz Butchers、ラヴ・アンド・ロケッツに参加。
Bauhaus whose name came from German Formative Arts Movement is a successor of Glam Rock or an originator of Gothic Rock. They debuted from 4AD (to be precise, Axis) and move to Beggars Banquet. Peter Murphy, a vocalist, formed Dalis Car with Mick Karn and became a solo. Daniel Ash (who also became a solo) and Kevin Haskins formed Tones On Tail. David Jay joined Love And Rockets after his solo activity.

名エレクトロ・プロデューサーのAuther Bakerがプロデュースしたシングル「I.O.U.」が大ヒットした。ロンドン出身ですが、ニューヨークで開花。純粋なエレクトロとは、言えないかもしれませんが、ファンキー・ディスコ・ミュージックです。でも、Beggarsらしくない。
The single "I.O.U" produced by Auther Baker, a master of Electro producer, became a big hit. While they are originally from London, they became successful in NYC. While it may not be pure Electro, it's kinda Funky Disco Music. But, it is not a typical artist of Beggars.
SF小説の題からバンド名とったリヴァプール・ネオサイケデリック御三家の一つです。パワフルな音を特徴としました。でも、ちょっと単調。
This is one of the Liverpool Neo-Psychedelic Three whose name was taken from the title of SF novel. They differentiated themselves with powerful sound. But, it was a bit monotonous.
