ブラマンジェはあまり派手ではないがその民族音楽的要素を取り入れたエレクトロ・サウンドは異彩を放っており『リヴィング・オン・ザ・シーリング』、『ドント・テル・ミー』、『ウェイヴズ』等幾つかのヒットを英国で放った。アバの『ザ・デイ・ビフォーア・ユー・ケイム』のカヴァーもやっていた。バンド解散後、ニール・アーサーはソロ、ステーヴン・ラスコムはウエスト・インデァ・カンパニーで活動した。

Blancmange is not sparkling, but they are unique with electro sound by incorporating ethnic music elements. They release several hit tracks such as "Living On The Ceiling", "Don't Tell Me", "Waves". They also covered ABBA's "The Day Before You Came". After disbanding, Neil Arthur became solo and Steven Luscombe jointed the West India Company.
