This page presents the artists of BOX Records, an indie label which led Tokyo Pop together with Mint Sound. This label founded in '84 created cult bands with the nostalgic feel for B-class British Pop such as Screen and Tights. Some albums have been reissued as CD as a series of "DISCOVER TOKYO POP '80's" from Baidis under Teichiku Records. The discography of BOX Records is available at PARE 〜TOTAL SOUND CREATOR〜.
８５年に結成されたヴォーカリスト・今尾ハヲのインディー・テクノポップ．バンド。ＢＯＸ大阪支部としてデビューした。『ハレはれナイト』にも収録。
Indie techno pop band featuring Hawo Imai as a vocalist which was formed in 1985. They debuted as Osaka subsidiary of BOX. Their song is also contained in "Hare Hare Night".

ちょっとエキゾチックなストレンジ・ポップ。満生さんはSuicideのトリビュート・アルバム『Clones Of Suicide』に参加し、ELECTRO MANSHOWSとしても活動していました。

<Info. from Correspondent Kengo Okuda> I realized a drummer of Grimm Grimms was Kimitoshi Sotomura. He was in my favorite Neo Acoustic band called "penny arcade". He played in Daffodil-19 and Jupiter Smile.
漫画家でもある久住氏がリーダーのホーン・セクションも備えたエキゾチックでもあるモダン・ポップ・バンド。モダン時代の久住氏の英語表記はQusumiですがここではKusumiとしときます。
This is an exotic Modern Pop band with horn section led by Mr. Kusumi who is also a cartoonist. While his name was spell as Qusumi during the days of Modern, Kusumi was used here.
ＢＯＸレコードの中心的存在のインディー版ムーンライダーズ的な和久井光司率いるモダンポップ・バンド。『Moon And June』は『リヴォルヴァー』を彷彿とさせます。スクリーンはその後、和久井光司 with モーメンツとなる。和久井光司氏は音楽評論家としても活躍。
This is an indie version of Moonriders Modern Pop band led by Koji Wakui, a center of Box Records. "Moon And June" reminds "Revolver". Screen will become Koji Wakui with Moments later. Mr. Koji Wakui is also active as a music critic.

スクリーンの和久井光司が編集した水族館レーベル的鈴木慶一周辺のアーティスト達のオムニバスです。元はカセット・ブックとしてB-Sellersからリリース（ＢＯＸレコードがディストリビュート）されましたが、９５年にバイディス・レーベルから『Discover Tokyo Pop 80's』のシリーズとしてCD化されました。タイツ（一色進＆滋田みかよ）、ヴォイス（立川芳雄）、メトロファルス（伊藤与太郎）のメンバーのソロが聞けたりします。全体的にはＢ級７０年代英国ポップ路線ですが、トラック#1, #2, #3, #6, # 8, #10はテクノポップの風味が感じられます。
This is the Suizokukan Label-type omnibus for the artists around Keiichi Suzuki compiled by Koji Wakui in Screen. Originally, it was released as cassette book from B-Sellers (distributed by BOX Records), and the CD was reissued as a series of "Discover Tokyo Pop 80's" from Baidis label. You can listen to the solo performance of the members of Tights (Susumu Isshiki & Mikayo Shida), Voice (Yoshio Tachikawa) and Metrofarce (Yotaro Ito). Overall, they are skewed to B-class 70's British Pop, but the taste of Techno Pop are felt for the tracks #1, #2, #3, #5, #8, #10.
