日本ではノイエ・ドイチェ・ヴェレと言う呼称は実験的なドイツのニューウェイヴを指しますが、ここでは、業界ノイエ・ドイチェ・ヴェレを含む、大衆向けのメインストリームと思われるドイツのテクノポップ・エレポップを集めてみました。中にはコニー・プランクとかが絡んでいるのもありますが。ドイツに関しては情報不足なので、名前しかかわからないアーティストも多いです。ノイエ・ドイチェ・ヴェレの定義に関してはLEXICONを参照ください。
In Japan, the term of Neue Deutsche Welle means Experimental German New Wave, but here I collected German Techno Pop & Electro Pop artists that are considered to be mainstream for mass including commercial Neue Deutsche Welle. There are some Conney Plank were involved with. As I do not have enough information on Germany, there are many artists whose names are only known. Please refer to LEXICON on the definition of Neue Deutsche Welle.
アルファヴァイルはベルリン出身のバンドであるが、その音はドイツ的カルト感を持ち合わせないシンセ・ベースのメロディアスな英国産エレポップよりである。『ビッグ・イン・ジャパン』で欧州でのヒットを放ったが日本でヒットしたかは定かでない。
Though Alphaville is a band from Berlin, their sound is more like melodious synth-based British electro pop without the German cultic feel. They had a European hit with "Big In Japan", but I am not certain if it was a hit in Japan.
＜R氏＞GERMAN ELEPOPにBOYTRONICというわりかしメジャーなアーティストがいます。１９８３年、YOUというシングルでデビュー、ドイツのシングルチャートで１０位に入るヒットとなりました。音はファースト、セカンドでは初期デペッシュモード風、サード以降はユーロビートの影響も感じます。私が最もかっこいいと思う曲は１９８６年にシングルでのみ発表されたHURTSという曲です。
<Mr. R> There is a relatively major artist called Boytronic in German Electro Pop. It debuted with the single "You" in 1983, and reached the 10th position in the German single chart. The sound orientation is early Depeche Mode-esque in the first and second, and became like Eurobeat from the third. The coolest song is the single released only "Hurts".

This is an E.L.O.-esque quartet from Germany.
＜Adam J-Short特派員＞ドイツのヴォーカリストであるGina X（Gina Kikoineとしても知られる）はその後4〜5年流行る典型的なサウンドを先取りした79年の新時代を告げるシングル『NO GDM』をリリース。Zeus B. Heldによるプロデュースで彼により殆どのキーボードとシークエンサーがプログラムされている。シングル『NO GDM』は70年代後期〜80年代初期のエレポップのコレクターの必須アイテムです。Ginaの声はAmanda Lear（歌っているというよりドイツ・アクセントの語り調）の歌い方に匹敵する。
Ginaは他の2・3のプロジェクトでも歌っています。Zeus B. Heldによるプログラム＆プロデュースされたバンド、Fashion。AssociatesとBilly Mackenzieファンは『Perhaps』のオリジナル・未発表版からの『The Best Of You』の未発表版で一緒に歌っているのを知っているかもしれません。同じアルバムでAnnie Lennox（Eurythmics）がBilly Mackenzieと一緒に歌ったこの歌の別ヴァージョンがあります。
＜荒特派員＞メンバーのZeus B. Heldは、ジャーマン・ハード・ロック・バンド、Birth Controlに在籍(途中から参加)していました。その後、プロデューサーとして活躍し、ファッションやデッド・オア・アライヴなども手掛けています。有名なのではジョン・フォックスの『ゴールデン・セクション』で、共同プロデューサーとしてクレジットされています。他にもジョン・フォックスのシングル等をガレス・ジョーンズらと共同で手掛けています。
<Correspondent Adam J-Short> GINA X(aka Gina Kikoine) a German vocalist released the seminal NO GDM single in 1979 pre dating a typical sound that would dominate the next four or five years. She was produced by ZEUS B HELD who also programmed most of the keyboards and sequencers. THE SINGLE NO GDM IS A NECESSITY FOR ANY SERIOUS COLLECTOR OF LATE 70'S EARLY 80'S ELECTROPOP. GINA'S voice could be comparable to AMANDA LEAR'S singing style (less singing and more narrative with a GERMAN ACCENT).
GINA co-vocalled on a couple of other projects. Namely FASHION, another ZEUS B HELD programming/production band. ASSOCIATES/BILLY MACKENZIE fans may be aware that she co-vocalled on the UNRELEASED version of THE BEST OF YOU from the ORIGINAL UNRELEASED VERSION OF PERHAPS. There was another version of this song on the same album with ANNIE LENNOX (EURYTHMICS) co-vocalling with BILLY MACKENZIE.
<Correspondent Ara> Zeus B. Held, a member, was in Birth Control, a German Hard Rock band along the way. Later, he was active as a producer and worked on Fashion, Dead Or Alive, etc. The famous one is Jon Foxx's "Golden Section" where he was credited as a co-producer. He also worked on Jon Foxx's singles with Gales Jones.
Hubert Kemmler率いるドイツのエレクトロ・ダンス・ポップ・ユニット。サンドラ等のプロデュースを手がける。
This is an Electro Dance Pop unit led by Hubert Kemmler. He also produces the other artists such as Sandra.
ジャーマン・ニュー・ウェイヴの巨匠、コーニー・プランクがプロデュースしたドイツのディスコ・バンド。
＜荒特派員＞アルバム『これが人生だ』の収録曲に「YAMA-HA」(この曲の邦題が「これが人生だ」)という曲があるんですが、この歌詞がすごいんです。

TIEGHEM、そのDAVIDと同じく教授の『Madia Bahn
Tour』に参加していたJEFF BOVA、EW&Fやフィル・コリンズ「ススーディオ」でおなじみのPHENIX
HORNSなど、ムチャクチャなメンバーであります。
HUMPE・HUMPEとしてのアルバムはこの1枚だけのようです。が、２人揃ってヒューバート・カーのアルバムに参加したり、妹のINGAの方は、ハワード・ジョーンズの『クロス・ザット・ライン』の「パワーハウス」という曲にヴォーカルで参加してたりして、ビックリです。
HUMPE・HUMPE以前には、78年に2人でNEON BABYSというバンドに参加、80年に姉のANETEは脱退してIDEALというバンドを結成し、アルバム『IDEAL』を発表。NEON
BABYSはINGA中心に３枚のアルバムを発表したものの、結局83年に再び合流し、DOFという４人組バンドを組んでアルバムを１枚発表。しかしすぐに解散し、デモテープを作り、アメリカに売り込みに行ったらROMA
BARANに気に入られて、HUMPE・HUMPEとして活動することになったのだそうです。

"Saitoh" probably means "Saikoh".
It's a calm tone, and Japanese koto appears

"Yama-ha" was produced by Roma
Baran. Roma is known for producing Laurie
Anderson. It was supported by chaotic members
such as Martin Gore in Depeche Mode, Simon
Jeffes in Penguin Cafe Orchestra, Daniel
Miller, the Mute president, David Van Tieghem,
Jeff Bova who supported Ryuichi Sakamoto's
"Media Bahn Tour" with David, Phenix
Horns known for Phil Collins "Studio"
and EW&F.
This seems to be the only album as Humpe
Humpe. But, the two appeared in Hubert KaH's
album, and younger sister Inga appeared as
a guest vocal for the song "Power House"
in Howard Jones's album "Cross That
Line".
Humpe Humpe was in the band called "Neon
Babys", and an elder sister "Anete"
left it and formed the band "Ideal"
releasing the album "Ideal". While
Neon Babies released 3 albums centered around
Inga, they merged again in '83 forming the
quartet "DOF" and released one
album. But, they disbanded soon, and made
a demo tape to sell it to the U. S. They
acted as Humpe Humpe since Roma Baran liked
them.
８３年から８６年にかけて活動したドイツのバンドであるネーナは『ロックバルーンは９９』の大ヒットで世界にその名を知らしめた。全米チャートにおける英語以外の曲が１位のなったのはなんと６４年の坂本九の『スキヤキ』以来の快挙であった。ネーナと言えば皮ジャンとスリムなジーンズにきまってます。調子に乗ってネーナ主演の映画『恋のロックバルーン』も製作されました。
Nena, a German band which had been active between '83 and '86, made the world aware of its name with a mega hit of "99 Luftballons". It was a major breakthrough since Kyu Sakamoto's "Sukiyaki" in '64 to reach the number 1 in the U. S. chart. Nena reminds me of leather jacket and slim jeans outfit. Thoughtlessly, the movie "Luftballons" starring Nena was filmed.

この人達が本国でジャーマン・ニュー・ウェイヴとされているか定かではありませんが、元プラスチックスの佐久間正英がサポートしたＳＦ的コンセプトのドイツのB-52's的バンド。イギリスにもデフスクールのメンバーがいたThe Planetsという同名テクノポップ・バンドがあります。
While I am not sure if they are considered to be part of German New Wave, it is a German B-52's-esque band with Sci-Fi concept supported by ex-Plastics' Masahide Sakuma. There is a Techno Pop band called "the Planets" with ex-Deaf School members in the U. K.
『踊るリッツの夜』がサントリーのコマーシャルにも使われてヒットしたオランダ出身、ドイツで活動したエレクトロ・モンド系ソロ・シンガーです。
This is an Electro Mondo solo singer who were born in Holland and based in Germany with the hit tune "Puttin' On The Ritz" which was used for Suntory's TV commercial.
＜カセ氏＞３枚のシングルを出していますが、LPが出ると予告されながらでなかったりでなんとなく不運な感じのドイツの男女２人組。２枚目のシングル「エレファンテンイェーガン」が出色の出来栄え。
<Mr. Kase> They are a German male/female duo who released 3 singles. They are somewhat unlucky as their LP release was cancelled though it was once annouced. The second single "Elefantinegan(?)" is a fine piece of work.

おそらく、日本盤としてリリースされた唯一のノイエ・ドイチェ・ヴェレに関するオムニバス・アルバム。ライナーノーツが無くなっているので、詳細は判らないが、比較的業界よりのノイエ・ドイチェ・ヴェレ系バンドを集めている。FehlfarbenはAta Takだから、そうとも言い切れないですが。比較的個人的に好きなのは、Neue JugendとMonopol。
Perhaps, this is the only Neue Deutsche Welle omnibus album released in Japan. The details are unknown as the linernotes are missing, but it collected relatively commercial Neue Deutsche Welle bands. It's not exactly as Fahlfarben is from Ata Tak, though. I personally liked Neue Jugend and Monopol.

Repertoireという再発レーベルからリリースされた業界もの中心のノイエ・ドイチェ・ヴェレ集で、全部で4作品。German Experss Musicやjpc等のドイツ系の通販サイトで買えます。Der Plan、Andreas Dorau、Nina Hangen、Nena、Hubert KaH、Falco等を除けば、聞いた事がないバンド名が多いです。人類レコードの店長とNDWの事を話していた時、「ドイツはほとんどテクノ」と名言を吐かれましたが、確かにそうです。生まれつきテクノな精神が宿っているのでしょう。残念ながら、ドイツでは有名かもしれない日本ではマイナーなバンドに関する情報は、なかなか見つかりません。あったとしても、ドイツ語だからわかりません。ドイツ人の方で詳しい人がおられたら、ぜひ教えてください。
This is the collection of Neue Deutsche Welle with 4 CDs in total consisting of mainly the ones for mass released on Repertorie, the reissue label. You can buy at German mail order sites such as German Music Express, jpc. There are many unheard bands except Der Plan, Andreas Dorau, Nina Hagen, Hubert KaH, Falco. While I was talking to the store owner of Jinrui Records, he said "Most of German is Techno". That's true. They must have been born with the spirit of Techno. It's very hard to find the information on the bands that may be famous in German but minor in Japan. Even if it exists, I cannot understand as it's in German. If there is any German person who knows about this field, please let me know.
