    ＜荒特派員からの報告＞このアルバムは84年にレコーディングされましたが、、法律上の問題でLPは当時リリースされず、98年になってCDで初めて陽の目を見ました。Shikishaというのは、アフリカの女性3人組ボーカル・グループ。Shikishaとしてのアルバムも出ています。ロビン・スコット曰く、「こ れは、ワールド・ミュージック史上もっとも重要な作品だ」とのこと。たしかにテクノポップ色は薄いです。しかし、全部似たようなサウンドで、ちょっと飽きちゃいます。

    7インチは３分３５秒、12インチは「Extended Club Mix!」で６分２５秒。色々なBBSでも話題になりましたが、CD『Famous Last Words』のボーナス・トラックとして「Eureka-ka-ka!」が収録されており、裏ジャケにも「Eureka(Original Version)(6:14)」と表記されていますが、実際は３分１５秒しかない、ヒドイぶつ切りヴァージョンでした。詐欺なり。

ロビン・スコットことＭはディスコ調テクノポップの名曲『ポップ・ミューヂック』で全世界的なヒットを飛ばした。ＭとはミラーのＭ、モダンのＭ、マンのＭ、アルファべット１３番目のＭ言われたりしている。その後は坂本龍一の『左腕の夢』に参加したり、高橋幸宏やトーマス・ドルビーの参加したサードアルバムを発表した。

＜荒特派員からの報告＞（シングル・ディスコグラフィー追加。）Ray Parker Jr.の「Ghostbusters」は、MとHuey Lewis & The Newsに盗作で訴えられたことがあります。Mは「Pop Muzik」に似てる、と言い、Huey Lewis & The Newsは「I Want A New Drug」に似てると言ってきたのです。結果、Huey Lewis側は無視されましたが、裁判官はRay Parker Jr.側に、「Mの曲の盗作である」と、有罪判決を下し、M側にお金を払うように命じた、と
いうことです。しかし、Huey Lewisの曲だって、「Pop Muzik」のパクリぢゃんか!!と思うぐらいにソックリ。'83年の発表だし、自分だってパクッてんじゃん、という感じです(^^)。

Robin Scott known as M released an international hit with "Pop Muzik", discotique techno pop master piece. M is said to mean M of Mirror, M of Modern, Man of M, M of the 13th alphabet. Later, he joined Ryuichi Sakamoto's "Left Handed Dream" and release his third album which Yukihiro Takahashi and Thomas Dolby joined.

<Info. from Correspondent Ara> (The single discography was added.) Ray Parker Jr.'s "Ghostbusters" was sued by M and Huey Lewis & The News. M said it's similar to "Pop Musik" and Huey Lewis & The News said it's similar to "I Want A New Drug". As a result, it was reported that the judge court ignored Huey Lewis' claim, but judged that Ray Parker Jr. is guilty for taking the song of M and should pay M. But, Huey Lewis' song is very similar to "Pop Musik" which makes me feel that it is from "Pop Musik". As it was released in '83, I felt that they also took it.
