Sony Musicが2001年1月11日からスタートさせた名盤レア盤復刻プロジェクト「洋楽秘宝館」により、CDとして日本盤が、初リリース。以前のEpicからCD化の際、ボーナストラックが3曲収録されたが、嬉しい事に、今回の日本盤で新たに4曲のボーナストラックが追加。

This was first released in a CD format in Japan as a series of "Overseas Pops Treasure House", a project to revive the rare past masterpieces started by Sony Music from Jan. 11, 2001. The previous Epic CD included 3 bonus tracks, and pleasantly this Japanese CD included additional 4 bonus tracks.

While it had been reissued in the CD format overseas, but it was the first Japanese CD release with a bonus track on Dec., 19, 2001. The number 2 in the request chart in Overseas Pops Treasure House.

オリジナルのLPはオークション・サイトとして有名なe-Bayで、米国のコレクターから手に入れました。バグルズの「モダンレコーディングの冒険」と並ぶポップであるが実験精神溢れるアルバム。ビートルズの「愛こそはすべて」のテクノなカヴァーと同タイトルのオリジナルは秀逸です。
洋楽秘宝館にてリクエスト1位に輝いたこのアルバムが、2001年12月19日に世界初CD化されました。ボーナスの5曲追加され、この3部作の再発によるNew Musikの公式音源は、知り限り全てCD化となりました。あとは、Tony Mansfieldプロデュース作のリリースですね。

I got hold of the original LP from an American collector in e-Bay, a famous auction site. This is the "pop & experimental" album which is comparable to the Buggles' "The Adventures Of Modern Recording". The cover song of "All You Need Is Love" by the Beatles and the original with the same title are simply superb.
This album which got the number one in the request chart in Overseas Pops Treasure House was finally reissued as CD in Dec., 19, 2001. It contains 5 bonus tracks and these 3 reissues covered all the offiical recordings of New Musik as far as I know. The rest is the works produced by Tony Mansfield.

ニュー・ミュージックと言うバンド名を聞いて分かる人はかなりの通である。でもマイナー中ではメジャーな存在である。デビューの『From A To B』が何とか全英３５位に達したぐらいである。しかしながら、すごく良いのである。テクノポップという表現がぴったりと当てはまるキュートな音なのです。戦略的な部分でのサポートがあればきっともっと売れていたでしょう。バンド解散後、トニー・マンズフィールドはネーキッド・アイズ（『Promises, Promises』が米国でヒットする。）、A-HA、Captain Sensible等を手がけトレバー・ホーンの様にプロデューサーとして成功しました。３枚目の『Ｗａｒｐ』はＣＤ化されていないが、ＣＤ化の噂もあるので期待したい。

If you know who New Musik is just by hearing their name, you must be the expert. However, they are major presence among the minor. Their debut album, "From A To B" somehow got to the number 35 only. However, it is excellent. They have cute sound which well fits the word of techno-pop. Their may have been more popular if they had more strategic support. After disbanding, Tony Mansfield became a successful producer like Trevor Horn by working on Naked Eyes (U. S. hit of "Promise, Promises") , A-HA, Captain Sensible, etc. As their third album "Warp" has not been issued in CD, I hope the CD version will be re-released.
