Of Arc (Maid Of Orleans)』

This is the superb collection of B-sides
as an Experimental side of OMD behind
catchy
Electro Pop.
<Correspodent Satoru> Very nostalgic melancolic sound. But, it
was experimental at that time. There are
many tracks that I first listened to as I
have few OMD singles (especially the early
days). Track 01 is an unreleased version.
19 is a bonus 7" single B-side with
U. K. version of "Junk Culture".
Track 11 resembles YMO "Epilogue",
doesn't it?

Gay』、『Souvenir』、『Tesla Girl』、『If
You Leave』
Dalek Iのバンド名は『The Daleks』と『Darling
I Love You』の妥協案から来る。
Alan
Julian
<David the Dalek: 何か知っていたら彼にメールしてください> 私は熱狂的なDalek I Love Youのファンです。
- Naive (cassette album)/Dalek I Love You
- The World (7" single)/Dalek I Love You
- All This And Heaven Too (7" single)/Dalek
I Love You
- Title Unknown (7" single)/Godot
- Something Missing (10")/Godot
- Extended Player (12")/Godot
■ALL ABOUT JAPAN
O.M.D. is one of the few electro pop bands
which have been active from early 80's (though
it's now Andy only left). I initially thought
they were overseas Y.M.O. copy band (that's
O.M.Y.) from their band name, but they produced
several impressive and melodious hit tunes
such as "Enola Gay", " Souvenir",
" Tesla Girl", "If You Leave".
Their band name came from the compromise
between "The Daleks" and "Darling
I Love You". Furthermore, Phonogram
shortened their name to "Dalek I"
without telling them. OMD's Alan McCluskey
was the member during the early period, but
Alan Gill became the only member who stayed
with frequent member changes. Alan Gill was
also a member of Julian Cope's The Teardrop
Explodes for a period.
<David the Dalek: pls. mail to him if you know anything> I am an extreme fan of Dalek I Love You.
Please can you help me get the following
rare gems?
- Naive (cassette album)/Dalek I Love You
- The World (7" single)/Dalek I Love You
- All This And Heaven Too (7" single)/Dalek
I Love You
- Title Unknown (7" single)/Godot
- Something Missing (10")/Godot
- Extended Player (12")/Godot
Godot is the combination of the feeling &
sounds of early as in the four albums of
OMD and Dalek I.
