このページではテクノポップとエレポップのルーツと考えられる海外のアーティスト達を紹介します。当然、テクにポップのルーツと言えば、Kraftwerkなのですが、彼ら以外にも、グラム・ロック系、プログレ系、英国モダンポップ系、ディスコ系、モンド（ムーグ・エキゾチック）系のアーティストが影響を与えました。個人的なルーツはニュー・ウェイヴ以前の７０年代英国ポップです。
This page presents the overseas artists which are considered to be the roots of Techno Pop & Electro Pop. As expected, the root of Techno Pop is Kraftwerk, and other artists in Glam Rock, Progressive Rock, British Modern Pop, Disco, Mondo (Moog/Exotic) influenced. My personal root is 70's British Modern Pop before New Wave.
スゥエーデンが世界に誇るアバはＡＢＣのマーティン・フライ、ヒューマン・リーグのフィリップ・オーキー、イレイジャーのヴィンス・クラーク達のエレポップ・アーティスト達が高く評価したキング・オフ・ポップです。イレイジャーは『Abba-esque』でアバのカヴァーをしました。日本のラジカル・ＴＶも『ダンシング・クィーン』のカヴァーをしました。
Abba which Sweden is proud of for the world is a king of pop which electro pop artists such as ABC's Martin Fry, Human League's Philp Oakey, Erasure's Vince Clarke highly appreciated. Erasure covered Abba's songs in "Abba-esque". Radical TV in Japan also covered "Dancing Queen".
名アルバム「Pet Sounds」（１966年）、名曲「Good Vibrations」(1967年）では、ムーグの前身とも言えるテルミンのポップ・ミュージックへの活用の試みがなされた。
In the masterpiece album "Pet Sounds" (1966) and the masterpiece song "Good Vibrations" (1967), Theremin that can be considered to be pre-Moog was applied to Pop music.
１９６６年に発売された『ストロベリー・フィールズ・フォーエヴァー』は１９６４年に発売されたサンプラーの原型とも言えるメトロトロンを使用した画期的な作品です。イントロのフルートの音です。また、『アビー・ロード』はシンセを多用しています。ジョージ・ハリソンも電子音楽に没頭し、ポール・マッカートニーも『マッカートニーII』でテクノ・ポップをやってました。
"Strawberry Fields Forever" released in 1966 is an revolutionary work using Metrotron available in 1964 which can be called as the prototype of Sampler. Remember the introduction sound of flute. They also used synthesizers a lot in "Abbey Road". George Harrison devoted to Electronic Music and Paul McCartney did Techno Pop with "McCartney II".
元祖エキゾチック・ミュージックのマーティン・デニーは、その後元祖シンセ・ミュージックのクラフトワークと結び付き、初期Ｙ．Ｍ．Ｏ．のコンセプトの原点となる。

通称ペリキンはアメリカ旅行中のフランス人ペリーが、アメリカ人キングスレイと出会い結成されました。『Ｔｈｅ Ｉｎ Ｓｏｕｎｄ Ｆｒｏｍ Ｗａｙ Ｏｕｔ』はＣＤで９３年に発売されました。７２年にヒットしたホット・バターの『ポップコーン』はキングスレイの作品です。
Commonly called "Peri-Kin" (only in Japan) is formed after French Perry during his travel in the U. S. met American Kingsley. "The In Sound From Way Out" was released as CD in '93. The hit single "Popcorn" by Hot Butter in '72 is Kingsley's work.
魔法使いの異名をとるトッドはシンセサイザーを含め実験的ポップミュージックの先駆者です。８０年前半の作品『Swing To The Right』、『トッドのモダンポップ黄金狂時代』等はニューウェイヴ、テクノの影響がみえる。日本にも狂信的なファンがおり、トッドの研究本『ドッド・ラングレン全能の人』とトッドの渋めのアーティスト達（高橋幸宏、鈴木慶一、鈴木さえ子、鈴木智文、窪田晴男、サエキけんぞう等）のカヴァーによるトリビュート・アルバム『トッドは真実のスーパースター』が９７年に発売されました。
Todd who has a name of magician is the leading person of experimental pop music including synth. His works such as "Swing To The Right", "The Ever Popular Tortured Artist Effect" in early 80's are also influenced by New Wave and Techno. There are freaks in Japan and a book all about Todd "Todd Rundgren - Born To Synthesize" and his tribute album "Todd/A True Star" covered by cool artists (Yukihiro Takahashi, Keiichi Suzuki, Saeko Suzuki, Tomofumi Suzuki, Haruo Kubota, Kenzo Saeki, etc.) were released in '97.

This is Pychedelic Rock incorporating Electronic sound during Acid period in late 60's. They were reunited in late 90's.
チューブスと言えばYMOが前座を務めたことで知られています。７９年にトッド・ラングレンがプロデュースした近未来コンセプチャル・アルバム『Remote Control』を発表。フィルムスの『Misprint』の再発CDに加藤賢崇氏が書いていたライナー・ノートに、『Misprint』が『Remoto Control』に影響されたとの記述があります。７０年代を少し引きずっていますが、シンセサーザーを駆使した近未来な音とコンセプトが感じられます。フィルムスと同様、再評価するべきです。近未来コンセプチャル・アルバムはチューブスの『Remoto Control』ー＞バグルズの『The Age Of Plastic』ー＞フィルムスの『Misprint』と言う流れなのでしょうか？
The Tubes is known as the band YMO did an opening performance. They released the futuristic conceptual album "Remote Control" produced by Todd Rundgren in1979. Kenso Kato wrote "Misprint" was influenced by "Remote Control" in the liner notes for the reissued CD "Misprint" by Films. While their sound was dragging 70's, I can feel futuristic sound and concept leveraging synths. They should be reappreciated as well as Films. Futuristic concept albums go like "Remote Control" by the Tubes -> "The Age Of Plastic" by the Buggles -> "Misprint" by Films.
