  日本初CD化された「From A To B」のライナーノーツで渡辺亨氏が推薦盤として紹介。シングルだから見つからないかと心配しましたが、ネット上で発見。英国から緊急輸入しました。両面ともTony Mansfieldのプロデュース。A面はTony Mansfieldの作風が強く反映された手拍子も入る究極のポップ・チューン。Tonyとの共作であるB面はちょっと気負いすぎて実験に走り、失速。
  Mr. Toru Watanabe introduced this as a recommended disc in his liner notes for "From A To B", the first CD release in Japan. While I thought it's difficult to find it as it's a single, I was able find on the net. Both sides are produced by Tony Mansfield. Side A is the ultimate Pop tune with handclaps reflecting the taste of Tony Mansfield. Side B co-written with Tony was failure with too much experimentalism.

マネージメントがミラノとあるので、イタリア人だと推測します。「XXX」はトニマンがプロデュース、キーボード、ギター、プログラミングしています。元Naked EyesのRob Fisherもキーボード、プログラミングで参加。

As his management is located in Minan, I guess he is Italian. In the album "XXX", Tony Mansfield produced and played keyboards and guitar plus programming. Rob Fisher of ex-Naked Eyes also supported keyboards and programming.

  Tony Mansfieldが全曲をプロデュースしたアルバムが出るという事は、とにかくウレシイ。しかも、ラトヴィアのバンドである。ジャケットを見る限り、アイドルっぽい。ラトヴィアのアイドル・ロック・バンドなんだろうか？曲は、結構完成度が高く、メロウな曲が多い。所々に、トニマン的アレンジを体感できます。お奨め。
  I am so glad that the album with all the tracks produced by Tony Mansfield was released. They are from Latvia. According to the front cover, they look like idols. Are they an idol rock band in Latvia? The songs hold pretty high quality with more mellow sounds. Here and there, you can feel Tony Mansfield-type arrangement. Recommended.

Gaultierが歌っているわけではない。「How To Do That (In A New Way)」はGauliterのインタヴューをTony Mansfieldがハウス・サウンドに乗せてコラージュしたものである。『Aow Tou Dou Zat』はそれをArt Of Noise、M/A/R/R/S、Bomb The Bass、Norman Cook等がさらにMix/Remix処理をして作り上げた１２ヴァージョンからなるノヴェルティなアルバムです。CDには詳しいクレジットがないが、12"プロモは上記のクレジットがある。

Gaultier is not singing. "How To Do That (In A New Way) is what Tony Mansfiled colaged Gaultier's talk in the interview based on House sound. "Aow Tou Dou Zat" is a novelty album with 12 versions of this track mixed and remixed by Art Of Noise, M/A/R/R/S, Bomb The Bass, Norman Cook, etc. While the CD album has no detailed credits, there are the above credits on the 12" promotional copy.

  This is the song with Tony Mansfield's guitar that was also picked up as Niche Pop. It was remade as Disco classic.

  ＜荒特派員＞5曲入りミニ・アルバムでちょっと物足りないですが、「LONG LOOK」はトニマン特有のキラキラ・シンセ・サウンドとチャカチャカしたアレンジがかっこいい名曲。
  <Correspondent Ara> While only 5 tracks in this mini album are not enough, "Long Look" is a masterpiece with Tony Mansfield-specific arrangement with twinkling synth sound.

This is a erotic Electro Pop male/female duo for all the maniac. In Japan, we have erotic Kayo (Japanese Trad Pop). I finally got the sound resource thanks to Jon. Tony Mansfield also produced "CCCan't You See" and so on.
