This page presents the Punk ~ Neo-Psyche ~ New Wave artists of Zoo, a legendary indie label in Liverpool. Zoo was founded by Bill Drummond and David Balfe who are also the members of Big In Japan. After disbanding Zoo, Bill Drummond did provocative activies leading KLF, and David Balfe founded Food Records holding the artists such as Jesus Jones, Blur, Shampoo (huge commercial success in Japan), Dubstar. I have been knowing there is the compilation album for Zoo, and I incidentally discovered and got it. LIVERPOOL THEN contains the information on Liverpool-related artists.
元DEAF SCHOOLのクライヴ・ランガー、ライトニング・シーズのイアン・ブロウディ、FGTHのホーリー・ジョンソン、KLFのビル・ドラモンドらが居たという伝説のリヴァプールのバンド。ZOOレコードからJayneのサイコなジャケットのEP『From Y To Z And Never Again』等のシングルのみ発表した。ZOOのオムニバス『To The Shores Of Lake Placid』や『The Zoo Uncaged 1978-1982』に収録されている。
This is a legendary Liverpool band which ex-Deaf School's Clive Langer, the Lightning Seeds' Ian Broudie, FGTH's Holly Johnson and KLF's Bill Drummond used to belong to. They released only the singles such as EP "From Y To Z And Never Again" with the jacket of psycho-look Jayne from ZOO Record. Their songs are contained in ZOO's Omnibus albums "To The Shores Of Lake Placid" and "The Zoo Uncaged 1978-1982".

It's a cheap and punk techno pop sung by Lori Larty, a female vocalist, supported by Bill Drummond and David Balfe. "The song "Touch" was tributed to Japan. It's a bit like Plastics.

Document Records Limitedからレコード盤の音源（マスター・テープは無くなったらしい）を元にＺＯＯがリリースしたシングル（Cage 001~009）を集めた貴重な再発ＣＤです。こんなのもう売って無いと思っていたら偶然発見。
This is a valuable reissued CD compiling the past singles ZOO released (Cage 001~009) mastered from the disc (the original matertape has been lost) from Document Records Limited. I incidentally discovered it though I thought it's gone.
