以前にメトロポリタン美術館の対応の良さには、驚かされました（⇒海外の美術館を訪れる方々に（３）)。それに匹敵する対応の早さで、親切だったのが、ロンドン・ナショナル・ギャラリーです。
ロンドンには、フェルメールの手紙の管理人のごんさんが、いらっしゃるので、自分で調べなくても良いのですが、メールを出すのが、趣味みたいになっています＼(^o^)／。
ナショナル・ギャラリーが所有する２作品は、下記二つですが、並べて観ると面白いと思います。

The 2 Vermeer paintings will be on display inRoom 16 of the National Gallery, there is no plan for the paintings to be loan elsewhere during 21 July- 31 July 2003. ロンドン・ナショナル・ギャラリーからの返事は、「フェルメールの２作品は、ナショナル・ギャラリーの16室に展示されていること、2003年の７月21日から31日の間は貸し出しの予定は、入っていない。」という、内容が書かれてました。
さらに、数日後、先方の方から、メールを頂き（○o●;）ました。下に掲載したのが、そのメールです。

『ヴァージナルの前に立つ女』が、２月18日〜５月18日にマドリードのプラド美術館で開かれる、『フェルメールとオランダインテリア展』に出展されるが、君がナショナル・ギャラリーを訪問するころには、戻ってくるよ。
