My job is the ophthalmologist(eye surgeon) in Kyoto and Hiroshima. I know your museum is famous,good,old in Europe. I 'm going to visit your museum through on 21 July 2003 to 10 August 2003 to see Vermeer's art(Lady writing a letter with her maid) at your museum. This art is my most farvorite art in all Vermeer art's. Please tell me your museum's Vermeer art schedule.(At that time can I see all of art exhibited at your museum?) Please contact us closer to the time of your visit and so can confirm if Vermeer's Lady writing a letter will be on display. Monday - Saturday 9.30am - 5.30pm Thursday 9.30am - 8.30pm Sunday 12pm - 5.30pm Entry to exhibition galleries, shop and restaurant ceases at least 15 minutes before Gallery closing time. アイルランド・ナショナル・ギャラリーからの返事は、「問い合わせ有難うございます。訪問日近くになりましたら問い合わせください、フェルメール作品『手紙を書く女性』が展示されるかどうか、わかるでしょう。」という、内容が書かれてました。
私にとっては、この返事は納得の行くものではありませんでした。旅行予定を立てる際に、あるかどうか、はっきりしないと大変困るからです。そこで、再度メールを送りました。

Thank you very much for your kind reply. I want to know Vermeer's Art(Lady writing a letter with her maid) display. I am going to visit your museum through on 21 July 2003 to 28 July 2003. The art is not in the restauration dempartment?The art is not on loan? If I can not see ,I must change my trip plan. I'm looking forward to getting your advice soon.

Our most up-to-date schedules confirm that the Vermeer painting Lady Writing a Letter with a Maid will be in the National Gallery of Ireland for the dates you mention (21 - 28 July). Paintings are occasionally subject to movement at short notice, so you should also confirm closer to the date of your travel.

「修復の予定とか、貸し出しの予定とか、入ってないか、教えて欲しい。もし作品を観れないのなら、私は、旅行の予定を変えなければいけない。」という脅しのようなメールを送ったところ、４のような返事（青字でした）が来ました。
最新の情報では、（予定がないので）君が来る７月21日〜28日には『手紙を書く女性と召使い』きっと観れるでしょう。時々、ちょっとしたことで、動かすことがあるから、旅行が近づいたら連絡ください。
という内容でした。納得いくものでした。これ以上のものは、今は望めないと思ったので、７月24日ダブリン訪問の予定をたてました。６月頃に、再度連絡して観れない場合は、家族と一緒にロンドンにとどまるつもりです。
