Dear museum-Frick Collection's staff,

My name is Satoru Maetani, I am Japanese.

I'm interested in seeing pictures painted byVermeer.

My job is the ophthalmologist(eye surgeon) in Kyoto and Hiroshima.

I know your museum is famous, good, old in the United States.

I 'm going to visit your museum through in  Dember 2002  to see Vermeer's 3 arts at your museum.

My most favorite art is The  Officer and Laughing Girl.
.
Please tell me your museum's Vermeer 3 arts schedule.(At that time can I see all of 5 arts exhibited at your museum?)

And let me know your museum opening and closed day and time .

I'm looking forward to getting your advice soon.

Your sincerely,

Satoru Maetani

The core of the Frick Collection consists of works of art (not limited to paintings, but also including sculpture and decorative arts) that Henry Clay Frick collected over a period of forty years, displayed in almost the same surroundings in which Mr. Frick enjoyed the art he loved before he bequeathed it to the public.  The comprehensive list of works in the Frick Collection is available through our website at:

http://www.frick.org/html/collmnf.htm. The museum provides visitors with ArtPhone, a random-access digital audio guide that offers recorded information about the masterpieces on exhibition. Use of the system is free
with admission and it is also available in Japanese.

The museum's lower galleries contain temporary special exhibitions. For the future exhibition schedule, please see the following webpage:
http://www.frick.org/html/future.htm.

As to general information such as hours and location, see: http://www.frick.org/html/collection.htm. Please note that the museum is closed on Mondays, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in December. We are also
closed on the New Year's Day.

We hope that you will have a wonderful visit.

Sincerely,

Mariko Iida

P.S.: I regret that I have no Japanese system in my computer here, but I will be able to hand-write in Japanese if you have a fax machine.
Please feel free to reply to this message with your fax number, if you prefer to receive the above information in Japanese.
